Through the Lens of Giving: New Hope Ministries in Pictures

Moments of Hope: Our Journey in Photos

    OCTOBER 11, 2025

This weekend, we helped a single woman who had three children, but they were the furry kind - cats. You could tell from the moment we met her that her cats are like family to her. We offered her lots of items for her apartment, but her requests were simple. She asked us to hang the TV and not to bring a lot of decor so that the cats wouldn’t knock anything over. When we asked if she would enjoy having some kitchen appliances or some extra towels, she said that she really didn’t need all of that. She said that when everything in the world has been taken from you, stuff isn’t really important. So true. When she arrived back home, she was blown away by how pretty it all looked. She exclaimed, “I get to keep all of this?” She instantly noticed the cat toys that one of our volunteers brought, which really touched her. Sometimes it’s just the simple things that can make all the difference in the way we feel in our safest place, our home.
