Joy is infectious and the moment we met our client we could feel it.  She was so happy that she was going to receive furniture, especially since she was starting out with so little.  She had a blow up mattress and a couch and office chair that she literally got from the dumpster at her apartment. We knew we could do better for her!  She got a job working from home so a desk was essential.  After we asked what she likes she humbly asked if we could get her a music keyboard and an even bigger wish was a washer and dryer.  We don’t normally provide these types of items but through some generous donors online both our requests were answered.  When we revealed her apartment there were lots of “Oh my goshes” and lots of smiles and tears.  She jumped with delight that we hung lights on her patio. She simply couldn’t believe it all!  She hugged every volunteer and she even called her mom who lives out of state to share in this big moment.  When we left she told us that she’s been through so much to get to this point in her life.  We were so honored to be a part of this joyous day for her!
